• Favorite teams: if you save favorite teams, we store which teams you've chosen so we can personalize your homepage.
• Approximate location: we use your IP address to estimate your country, so we can show you leagues relevant to your region. We don't store this location data — it's used only at the moment you load a page.
• Basic usage data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting purposes.

How we use this information

• To operate your account and remember your favorite teams
• To personalize which leagues and matches are shown first based on your region

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information to third parties. We don't share your email address with advertisers.

Third-party services

We use API-Football to source match data, and a third-party IP geolocation service to estimate your country. These services see your IP address when your browser requests data, but merfact does not share your account details with them.
